A year ago I put together a cute non-candy DIY Valentine for my Big Boy’s class. I originally posted it here. However, since my original post, it seems this little project has taken the internet/pinterest by storm and I am humbled by all the requests I’ve received about it and all the blogs featuring it, for instance here and here. So, in case you missed it, I am reposting it here with the added bonus of including a printable this time. For new readers, this is my new blog in which I plan to feature a lot more projects like this one, so I hope you’ll check back often.
Original directions:1) I scored vintage-looking wood rulers at Target for 47 cents each, 2) I printed the “You Rule” message on some red construction paper, 3) cut slits on either end to slide the ruler through and decorated with a little glitter-heart.
For printable version, I left the name area blank so you can personalize with your kid’s signature. BTW-This is my first printable. If you like it, please like me on Facebook so that you can keep up to date on any other projects I post.

UPDATE (2/7/13): A few of you have requested that the download read “Happy Valentine’s Day” instead of the original “Happy Valentine”. I’ve added that download, if you prefer that version.
