We usually go back to Europe to see family and friends once a year. Often we make it down to my Aunt and Uncle’s house in the Dordogne and have a great time seeing all the cousins play together, eating yummy food, reconnecting with each other and with nature, and generally chillaxing. What we don’t like is the 18-20 hours it takes us to get there, between the flights from the US, then driving down from Paris.
Ever since our day trip to the Russian River, hubby and I have been fantasizing about getting a river home. When we explored the area for our April date, we felt that we could capture some of what we enjoy most as a family minus the hassle and the jetlag of getting all the way to the Dordogne. So, I’ve been having visions of spending time in places like this:
